Dallen family bakery

These Instagram stories highlight Englefield Green’s bakery and the family who ran it over the twentieth century.

I researched the Dallen family, scanned their family photographs and designed the stories.

The stories were posted in three instalments and they received positive feedback.

A Tweet thread about Phyllis Dallen’s postcard album that she collected when she was an Edwardian teenager.

I found the postcard album in the museum archive, selected postcards to showcase and wrote the thread.

The Dallen family exploration is rounded off with an online ‘In the Spotlight’ exhibition on the Egham Museum website.

Etheldred Benett: the Making of Museums

In collaboration with the Yorkshire Philosophical Society, I researched and designed an exhibition for the Yorkshire Museum. The exhibition is about pioneering geologist Etheldred Benett, and her place in the early history of museums and her collection of scientific specimens.

The exhibition was due to be displayed from mid-March 2020, but due to exceptional circumstances it was distributed online to Society and Museum members instead.

The Founder

Arts Editor

I contacted university curators and archivists to keep students updated about the latest exhibitions and conservation work on campus.

As the Arts Editor, I was responsible for managing Content Writers and two subeditors. I helped develop their ideas, edited their articles and ensured everyone kept to internal deadlines.
